Lots of paperwork was filled out earlier this month to petition for guardianship over Tom's finances, medical, vocational, residential, legal and and safety issues. Not knowing what to except, we walked in the court room, the judge ask the social worker a few questions and Tom's lawyer just one, with that he used his gavel and our petition was granted. The judge never said a word to Tom, Don or I and this took a whole two minutes of time.
