G is just like her mommy

When my daughter was young she insisted upon dressing herself and picking out her own clothes. So it was no surprise when G brought in this outfit to wear. G has a favorite green shirt, Laura had a favorite "Mary dress".

Just like her mother too, G likes to change her clothes often through out the day. 4/5 outfits a day is nothing. Another way she is like her mother too is that no matter the temperature inside or outside, they dressed with "less is best" and love it outside.

They both at this age had long attention spans. G sat at the table and colored in her book while I French braided her hair. I am not fast at that, this took a while and she never complained or fussed.

Here is another way they are alike. Wanting to be like an adult and try to do what she sees grownups doing. Here G took a picture of me and A with my camera. Not bad for a first try.

They both have the same good sense of humor. G is not even two yet and enjoys trying to joke, being silly and making you laugh. I think it's wonderful that they are able to laugh together often

Home, Sweet Home

We arrive home after visiting with the two of the most delightful grandchildren any Grandma could ask for and their parents. G and A did their best to keep me busy this week.

A
likes to snuggle up to anyone. Thomas likes to snuggle too. The two of them worked well snuggling together when I was busy and needed a free hand. Tommy would baby-sit A for me.

G
loves to be outside and loves her pigs. She took me for a walk, a long walk and would go from pig pen to pig pen either calling pigs or trying to climb the gate to climb inside with them.

I was worried that I was going to have to report that the only thing Don shot was a sick pig that couldn’t move. When we first arrived at Laura’s and Don when out bow hunting for deer and saw a huge flock a turkeys. While turkey hunting, only saw deer. Friday morning while gun hunting, Don was able to shoot a doe.

It's Grandma Time

We are here with our Grandchildren. It's such a joy to see them and see how quickly they have grown since we seen them last. The only thing I don't like is the fact that when the grandkids are left alone with me, they all like to have their bm's. I was told A only fills his diaper about once a week. I have changed his stinky diaper daily and today it was so bad, it leaked through his clothes and he needed a bath. It's almost like "Ok, mom is gone to work, it's time to poop." What makes it terrible for me is my own son, Thomas, had a BM during the night and got his hands into his diapers and made a mess EVERYWHERE. Nothing could be more fun that getting up at 1 in the morning to clean up that kind of a mess.
My husband has been faithfully out side hunting. While out hunting deer, he has seen lots of turkeys, while hunting turkeys, he has seen deer. The only thing he has shot so far was a sick pig that couldn't move.
Tomorrow is our Thanksgiving. Can't wait to eat turkey.

Her First Job

My niece is out of town with her family. Today I get a call to say my niece got to try on her clothes, got her hair done and got to meet the woman that is going to play her mom in the Tar&et commercial. We thought she was just going to be some kid in the background, but it sounds like she going to be the foremost kid in the commercial. Filming is tomorrow. Break a leg, Sweetie!!!
