And the name is.......

Austin Glen Sparks

He's Beautiful

I wish I could figure out how to down load my pictures onto Laura’s computer. So badly I want to share with you this beautiful and still name less baby. We drove up straight to the hospital and Laura looks wonderful. While holding the baby I held Georgia’s birth announcement picture next to him, they look just about clones. Don, Thomas and I took Georgia with us to their house. Casey and Laura are supposed to come to a decision on a name by 7 this evening.

A Grandma Again..it's so sweet!!

Laura called about 5 yesterday evening saying she was having a few light cramps. Not sure if its labor, but just giving me a heads up that there may be a baby on the way. About an hour later she sent an email still having cramps and still not sure. I called her after 7 and now her contractions were under 5 minutes apart and getting stronger, BUT they recently added some cows with their pig collections and some of the cows had gotten lose. SO as soon as her husband caught the lose cows they would be leaving for the hospital. They arrived at the hospital after 8 and the baby was born after 9. Laura is doing great. They are thinking about naming him Caleb Glen or Austin Glen. I am hoping for Austin for that was my grandfather’s name.

Ouch!!

While working in the garden Saturday evening, pulling weeds and hoeing. I stepped on something sharp and cut the bottom of my foot. As that happened I lost my balance and fell flat on my face, cutting that too.
Sunday we had a party to attend. I tried wearing make-up to hide the cut on my upper lip, but it only stood out more. So I went to the party just as the real me. I did however lie to everyone on how I got this cut. I tried not to tell the same story twice.

What Have I Been Doing Lately ??

Waiting for grandchild #2 to arrive. My sisters and I were discussing our own pregnancies for our #2. We all agreed that child two came much quicker and faster then we expected. We all think my daughter will not be at the hospital long before #2 arrives.
I have planted thousands of flowers and vegetables in my garden this year. Weeding, hoeing, mulching, just typing those words makes me want to head back outside to the gardens. I love it.
Writing letters/emails to Michigan’s lawmakers, politicians and State Board of Education members. For my severely cognitively impaired son, they want to shorten his school year and force him to graduate from school earlier. It's not the first time they have tried to do this. This time however the government is getting sneaky. They are trying to shorten the number of and locations of public hearings.
Just keeping busy. Talking my FIL into calling Hospice. Emphysema has taking a strong hold of him. Helped my mother give her grandkids a bingo party. My sisters and niece want to have a garage sale here soon. Many nieces like to come over here and play. They love catching the toads that are submerging from out of the pond. So much I want to do, so little time.

Gabrielle's Graduation

Today I went to Harvard to watch my niece graduate.
That sounds so much better than we went to Gabrielle's kindergarten graduation today at Harvard Elementary School.
