Fishing

Sailing and Fish in Lake Erie

it was a nice and relaxing day

The water was rough at first but soon there were no waves.

Fritz kept everything in control and was our master sailor

This is so sad, for this is all the fish we caught that day on the lake.

There's No Place Like Home

Once Tom arrived home from school yesterday, he and I went into the normal “getting home from school” routine in which Tom is lifted out of his wheelchair, meds given, tube fed, diaper is change, etc. While I’m in the process of changing his diaper, he decides to have a BM. Then my exhausted lethargic son; decides he wants to help me clean himself up. You can’t imagine maneuvers I had to do just trying to keep his hands out of there and get his diaper changed. Where did he find the energy? We both got a major workout that afternoon.

During the evening my husband, son and I were all talking about our busy day and how this time of the evening was our favorite time. The words were no sooner out of our mouths when we realized that Tom had another BM. Tom usually has a BM and then just keeps making a fuss or a ruckus until his diaper is changed, but no, not this time. He kept quiet and tried to clean himself up by himself! He had manage to get his hands into his diaper and had sh!t everywhere, on his clothes, the bed, and himself. What a mess!!! Our favorite time of the evening turned into one of us giving Tom a bath, one of us doing laundry, and the other washing up Tom’s bed and adding new sheets.

Hooray! It’s a new day. I’ll quit complaining.

Out on Lake Erie

Mark, we’re so glad no one got seasick like the last time we all went out!

It was a very relaxing day out on the lake.

Fishing could have been better but we did catch fish and had enough for supper last night.

The weather was wonderful -not to hot or cold, water wasn’t rough, and the teasing one another and the talking was silly.

Connie would grade her student’s papers on the way out to fish. She never gets seasick.

Why Grandpa is wonderful

Grandpa always has smiles to share, love to give, and time to spare.

Sometimes the most important thing in a whole day is the rest we take between Grandpa and me.

Grandpa is talented for he can feed my brother a bottle while giving me a fun, bouncy horsey rides.

Grandpa never runs out of hugs or cookies and he will push you outside on the swing for a long time.

It's amazing how grandparents seem so young once you become one.

Did You Guess???

Did you guess what happen?
See the blog below

I kissed the frog and he became a handsome prince and began doing all kinds of chores for me.

Then I kissed the snake and he became a pizza delivery boy that refused to take money or a tip for the pizzas he delivered.

You guessed right, didn’t you?
