At School today.

Tom was bitten by another student white at school today. In his 23 years of attending school today he received his first Student Injury Report Form. What breaks my heart is the fact that Tom didn't flinch or cry when it happen. He was almost like he didn't even feel it.

Luke's party Tree huggers

So many little things went into my head when I saw these pictures. I thought our family tree, the tree of life and even how Luke is studying rocks and not trees. There are tree huggers, lending tree (not leaning on trees)and even tree houses. Do these pictures make you think of anything?

Adding

While at Luke's graduation party I took this picture of this donkey. Thought it needed a little something more. So I added.....
This picture of Kenny making a funny pose.
And this is the finally picture. What do you think?

Country Dairy

Wonderful weekend with the family. We spent time together at the County Dairy.
It was a very noisy place, the kind of noise that Tom loves so he too had a wonderful time.
I think its a mandatory thing to have a picture taken out by the cow. Mark would set the timer on the camera and run. We would all hope no car would pull in the drive and block the picture from being taken.
Georgia Bear was the princess of the slides.

Austin with Uncle Mark. Who doesn't love Uncle Mark? You never know whats going to happen with him around.
Faster than a speeding bullet. Levi is smart and fast. Mom rescued Levi and traveled safely down to the ground.
The men! They think they look so smart, but if they were that smart they wouldn't be sitting there, they'd be out looking after the children.

Oh Brother, My Mother

Yesterday for my mother's birthday, her brother took her flying and out to lunch.
My mother's picture from the plane window, proof that she was up there. She was kind of scared to go, afraid of getting sick.
My mother and her brother in the plane. To get into this plane you have to climb in for there are no doors.
Holly, a granddaughter was at the airport and got to watch them land. They had lunch together and then mom got into Holly's plane and went flying with her.
Once Mom and Holly landed, she got back into her brother's plane and flew her back his farm where they started from. I'm so happy to tell you too that my mom didn't get sick at all and had a wonderful time.

Fun Day..... not for mom

Yesterday was "Fun Day" at Tom's school. A day to celebrate with your classmates the end of the school year. With day long activities and lots of fun things to do, Tom really enjoyed yesterday at school.
So starts the beginning of Tom's last year of school. 12 more months and then what? Is there a job out there for him to do? Do we just keep him at home & take him with me everywhere I go? Hurts my back just thinking about it. There are group homes, but the kids are much higher functioning and if you ever have checked out a group home its not a place for someone unable to communicate. I don't think Tom would make it 6 month in a group home. It took years to learn how to understand his wants and needs.
A mom only wanting what's best for her children and a year from now I don't have a clue as to what to do. Years ago I had many friends with severely handicapped children too. Wonderful to share ideas and stories. Sad to say I'm the only one left with my child still living. Heading into the future alone and I'm scared.

well???

Was asked if I'd make a costume for a friend. Didn't realize until she brought over the material yesterday morning that it needed to be done before this weekend. So yesterday from start to finish I worked on this. Can you tell what it is? No, your wrong. It's the Mayor of Munchkin City.
