We are planning a nice picnic to be held in our back yard on Saturday. With a menu to be made out, weeds that needed to be pulled in the garden, and plates, cups, napkins that need to be purchased, I woke up this morning bright and early so excited to start my day planning what needed to be done. I couldn't wait to get started.
After a phone call I realized I had this important 3 pages form that needed to be filled out and in the mail today. So I could win a van to carry Thomas in. Oops, there goes a good hunk of my morning filling out theses forms and writing letters to go along with them. By lunch, the letters were in the mail and I am at the store shopping for a few things.
As I arrived home and start unloading the car and the phone rings. My sister-in-law had cut the side of her thumb off and needed to be taken to the hospital. Of course I drop everything and call my parents to watch Thomas and I'm off to take Ev to the hospital.
As we enter Toledo Hospital I was upset to find a waiting room full of people. Then I was even more upset when I found out that this was a pre-waiting room before getting into the real emergency waiting room. After waiting over an hour she was sent into this room were a nurse made her wash her clean uncut hand!??! Then we were sent to the “real” emergency room to wait. After waiting in there over another hour, yes, her thumb is still bleeding everywhere, we were told it would be another 3 hours before she'd be seen. With that news my sister-in-law wanted to go.
I just couldn't take her home, so I brought her to my house. Once at home I tried to band-aid it up but four hours after cutting her thumb, it is still bleeding non-stop. I suggested another hospital.
As we walked into St Anne's hospital and we were warmly greeted. Not by the people who worked there, but by the people who were also at the Toledo Hospital, that like us, gave up on waiting and went to this hospital instead. It didn't take overly long for my sister-in-law to been seen. The cut was cleaned and treated, shots were given and we were sent on our way.
Am so tired and didn't get much done around the house today. Saturday my house might not be as clean as I'd like, but I still can't wait to see everyone.

Don't worry, with grandbabies as cute as yours noone will notice what the house looks like! ;)
Ohhhh, I'm so sorry for your sister in law, that's horrible to have to wait that long. It is so hard to find good health care. Just a few months ago, I sat in the ER waiting room of one of the HUGE hospitals in the metro Detroit area. I was crying as I was registering because it was an hour wait to get Noah seen (he was only 4 months old at the time) and that was with them moving him 'to the top of the list.' It's horrible!
And I agree with Stephie, your grand babies are so adoreable and it's so sweet of you to host a party for everyone to meet/see them!
That sounds horrible! I'm glad that Aunt Ev was finally seen and that she is doing better.
