ERIK

I’ve tried many times to write something, but this is extremely difficult. My sister Connie and her husband Fritz, lost his son Erik, 26 yesterday morning. Erik was asleep in a chair in his living room with his dog next to him and was overcome by smoke both he and his dog lives were claimed.

I feel the loss of a loved one, particularly someone who should out live you, is the most difficult occurrences to tolerate. The grief that will follow is not something that can be understood nor learned, because grief does not come from our minds but from our hearts. Grief is the price we pay for love; the more intense we have loved the more intense we’ll grieve.

My heart goes out to my sister, Fritz and their families.
